An education and information event on the subject of violence was organized for our vocational school students on May 6, 2025, with the contributions of the Vezirköprü District Police Department and the Vezirköprü Social Services Center (SHM) Directorate, as part of the Educational Activities for Contribution to Social Life.
The event, which saw high participation from our vocational school students, began with an informative speech by Police Officer Taner AYHAN from the District Police Department, covering the definition of violence, types of violence, and legal regulations regarding violence. Following AYHAN's speech, which particularly drew attention to protective and preventive measures against violence, the education continued with Police Officer Sultan İlayda İKİZ (also from the District Police Department) addressing many topics, including types of violence against women, rates of violence against women in Turkey and the World, the effects of violence, and its prevention. The event, which also included the screening of educational videos on the subject, continued with Police Officer Hülya ERDUĞAN's information session on the KADES application. Finally, the event continued with the speech of Social Worker Gizem IŞIK from the Vezirköprü Social Services Center, who spoke about women victims of violence and the resources offered to them, followed by speakers answering numerous questions from the students.
The event concluded with thanks from the Assistant Director Lecturer Cemil ÖZDEMİR, on behalf of our vocational school, to all participating students and valuable speakers, and with the wish for a society free from violence.
