An **Orientation Program** was organized on October 11, 2023, for students newly enrolled in our Vocational School for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The program was attended by the Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Necati TOMAL, Vezirköprü District Governor Özgür Kaya, other district protocol members, our vocational school staff, and first-year students.
The program began with an online connection featuring a speech by Ondokuz Mayıs University Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz ÜNAL. Following this, the program continued with information provided by Vocational School Deputy Directors Lecturer Metin KADİM and Lecturer Cemil ÖZDEMİR, along with Student Affairs Office personnel Kenan KALMIŞ, on various topics such as the student information system, course registrations, periods of study, and graduation requirements. After the students were informed about school regulations and other relevant matters, the program proceeded with the participation of the district protocol.
During the program, where a vocational school introductory video was shared with the participants, Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Necati TOMAL provided a brief overview of our Vocational School and our University, offered advice on matters to be addressed during their studies, and wished the students success. District Governor Özgür KAYA welcomed the students in his speech and wished them success in their academic lives. Highlighting that Turkey's new century will be even better thanks to the youth, KAYA conveyed the message, "We are always by your side." The program concluded with protocol members and students gathering for a dessert treat and conversation.
