An online talk was held on October 22, 2026, as part of the 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester "Student-Alumni Meeting" events organized by the Department of Accounting and Tax at Ondokuz Mayıs University Vezirköprü Vocational School.
Modrated by Head of Department Lect. Dr. Gökhan SALMAN and Lect. Dr. Elif ENSARİ ALPAY, the event featured Sinem KURNAZ, a graduate of the Accounting and Tax Applications Program, as the guest speaker. During the talk, which drew great interest from department faculty and students, our alumna Sinem KURNAZ shared her career journey from her student years to professional life, along with her industry experiences.
The key topics highlighted during the talk were as follows:
- The importance of combining theoretical knowledge acquired during student years with professional practice,
- The contributions of internship processes in accounting and finance to career development,
- Job search processes, interview experiences, and workplace adaptation,
- Qualifications expected from new graduates in line with digitalization and current trends in the sector.
Sincerest in answering the questions posed by students throughout the event, Sinem KURNAZ offered valuable advice to her fellow students continuing their education regarding future planning and personal development.
At the end of the program, Lect. Dr. Gökhan SALMAN and Lect. Dr. Elif ENSARİ ALPAY expressed their gratitude to our alumna Sinem KURNAZ for contributing to the students' career planning through her experience sharing, as well as to all participating academics and students.
