An event was held at our Vocational School as part of the March 21st World Forestry Day and Forest Week.

The program, held on March 24, 2026, was attended by Amasya Regional Director of Forestry Ferdi Özer, Samsun Forest District Manager and President of the Amasya Branch of the Chamber of Forest Engineers Menderes Özkolay, Vezirköprü Forest District Manager Mecit Koçak, Head of the Forestry Department Lect. Dr. Cemile Çakır, Lect. Seçil Yıldırım, Lect. Cemil Özdemir, Lect. Dr. Yusuf Alperen Şişman from the Design Department, academic staff, and students.

As part of the event, Ferdi Özer delivered a speech to the students in the conference hall. Emphasizing the awareness of the “Green Homeland” (Yeşil Vatan), Özer shared his professional experiences in forestry and provided important advice to the students.

Following the program, a ceremonial sapling planting was held in the school garden as part of the Forest Week activities. Participants highlighted the importance of contributing to nature and increasing environmental awareness.
