An education and information event regarding substance addiction was organized for our vocational school students on November 6, 2024, with the contribution of the District Health Directorate, within the scope of Education Activities for Contribution to Social Life.
The event, which started with an opening speech by the Vocational School Director, Prof. Dr. Necati TOMAL, drawing attention to the importance of the subject, continued with a speech by Social Worker Zümra BAYGIN on “Substance Addiction.” Touching upon many topics such as substance addiction and its symptoms, the negative effects of addiction, symptoms of substance use, and how addiction can be treated, Ms. Baygın concluded her talk by answering questions from the students after the presentation.
The event continued with a speech by Psychologist Deniz BÜLBÜLLER on “Addictive Substances.” Ms. Bülbüller began her speech by mentioning the types of addictive substances, emphasizing particularly the physiological and psychological effects of these substance types. The talk, which also shared information about the importance of substance addiction, and what should be paid attention to and done regarding this issue, ended with the applause of the participants.
