Our Forestry Department Students Conducted Silviculture Training in the Kunduz Forests.
Our 2nd-year Forestry and Forest Products students received Silviculture Training in the Kunduz Forests, organized by the Vezirköprü Forest Management Directorate as part of the Field Exercises course.
During the training, which took place in the Narlısaray, Gölköy, Dumluca, and Kunduz Chiefdoms, theoretical information was given to the students by the forest chiefs on Initial Thinning, Cleaning, Tending of Young Stands, Pruning, Preparatory Cutting, Seed Cutting, Light Cutting, and Removal Cutting, followed by practical applications in the field.
The training was attended by Vezirköprü Forest Management Deputy Director Tuncay PATAN, Head of the Forestry Department Lecturer Dr. Cemile ÇAKIR, Lecturer Cemil ÖZDEMİR, Narlısaray Forest Chief Dilek AKSOY, Gölköy Forest Chief Niyazi AKSOY, Dumluca Forest Chief M. Musab PARLAK, Kunduz Forest Chief Oğuzhan GÜNEŞ, Akpınar Forest Chief Ahmet Razi ÇALIŞKAN, Akçay Forest Chief Ekin AKIN, Şahinkaya Forest Chief Ahmet ÇELİK, Central Forest Chief Oğuzhan CİNDORUK, Forest Rangers, and department students.
