A **"STUDENT-ALUMNI MEETING"** event was held on 20.12.2023 for the students of our Vocational School's Forestry Department/Forestry and Forest Products Program, as part of the “Working Life and Career Planning Event.”
The in-person event, held in our Vocational School's conference hall, was attended by our invited alumni: Yusuf YILMAZ and Fatih AKTÜRK, who work as Forest Rangers at the Samsun Forest Management Directorate; Ahmet SARIKAYA, who works as a Forest Ranger at the Kavak Forest Management Directorate; along with the Head of the Forestry Department Lecturer Dr. Cemile ÇAKIR, Lecturer Seçil YILDIRIM, Lecturer Cemil ÖZDEMİR, and department students.
The discussion, which garnered significant interest from the department's academic staff and students, began with the introduction of our alumni. Our graduates described their work at their respective institutions, provided information on situations they might encounter in civil service life, shared their experiences regarding the preparation process before appointment and the interview process, and answered students' questions on topics they were curious about. The event concluded after a question-and-answer session and a photo shoot.
As the Academic Staff of the Forestry Department, we thank our alumni for their participation, which made us happy, and we hope that this and similar events will be beneficial to our students.
