A seminar event on "Disaster Psychology" was organized for our Vocational School students as part of the “Social Responsibility Projects Course.”
Within the scope of the ‘Disaster Psychology’ seminar, attended by our Vocational School's academic staff and students, Lecturer Filiz Koçoğlu Sağlam provided information on risk groups in disasters, psychosocial phases after a disaster, psychological reactions that may be observed in disaster victims, trauma and related disorders; the purpose of psychological first aid, and how and by whom it can be administered.
In the final part of the seminar, it was emphasized that all of us can be a part of psychological first aid during a disaster.
