On April 8, 2026, a technical field trip to the Vezirköprü Kunduz Forests was organized by the Department of Forestry of our Vocational School, in line with a student-centered and practice-oriented education approach, aiming to support professional knowledge and skills with field experience. Within the scope of field applications, which hold a significant place in forestry education, this event aimed to provide students with the ability to observe, analyze, and apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom environment within real forest ecosystems. Simultaneously, it was intended to examine forestry activities carried out under the principles of sustainable forest management on-site and to transfer sector practices directly through stakeholders.
During the technical trip, applied studies were conducted within the scope of silviculture, forest maintenance, and forest management courses; on-site observations and evaluations were made to enhance the professional knowledge and skills of the students. During the field applications, detailed information sharing regarding the relevant subjects was carried out with the goal of strengthening the professional perspectives of the students.
The event was attended by the Head of the Forestry Department, Lec. Dr. Cemile ÇAKIR, as well as the Assistant Manager of the Vezirköprü Forest Enterprise Directorate, Niyazi Aksoy, Forest Enterprise Chiefs Dilek Aksoy and Ergin Güven, and enterprise personnel.
