Uğur Donbay, Head of the OMÜ Department of Library and Documentation, along with Branch Manager Oktay Dinç and Department Academic Advisor Lecturer İ. Ethem Olukcuoğlu, visited our higher vocational school on June 29, 2026.
During the visit, which was also attended by our Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afitap Özdelikara, evaluations were initially conducted at the school library. Ideas were exchanged regarding physical and functional modifications that could be implemented in the library, strategies to increase student library utilization rates, and enriching book diversity.
Academic Collaborations and Accreditation Process Discussed
Following the library inspections, a meeting was held in the conference hall with the participation of our academic staff. The prominent agenda items of the meeting were as follows:

Academic Publishing Support: Utilizing library resources more effectively in upcoming academic studies and publication processes.

MEDEK and Accreditation Processes: Collaborating with the Department of Library and Documentation for accreditation processes and MEDEK (Committee for Evaluation and Report of Undergraduate Medical Education) site visits.

Database Utilization: Identifying the databases most frequently needed and used by academicians to optimize access to these resources.
The visit concluded after mutual exchanges of views and the planning of future collaborations.
