The department has two education programs, primary (day) and secondary education(evening) of Child Development program.

The capacity of the programs has totally 160 students, 80 for primary (day) and 80 for secondary (evening)

The program is aimed that developing on behavior and ability of children within the education system according to the global frameworks, training of the teacher’s assistant who can teach to computer, drama, music etc. educations, recognize to children at pre-schools and special education schools, work to community benefit and consistently self-developed.

The graduated students can take a position as a teacher’s assistant at public or private institutions on the nursery, home, and children's club, schools, pre-primary education institutions. Also, they can work at children's clinics, and rehabilitation centers in the field of special education, and toy manufacturer companies. By the examination (ÖSYM), the graduates have continued to training in Children Development or Pre-Primary Teacher programs in the faculties.
