ABOUT DEPARTMENT
• The Department of Accounting and Tax is comprised of the Accounting and Tax Applications Program (Daytime Education).
• The aim of the department is to educate Accounting Professionals who are knowledgeable about current developments in accounting, proficient in accounting software, understand the basic concepts and systems of accounting, can identify and use documents in accounting records, know the operation of balance sheet and income statement accounts, how to prepare these financial statements, and possess the knowledge and skills to produce rational solutions to business problems from an accounting perspective.
• Graduates of the Accounting and Tax department can find employment opportunities in the accounting, finance, and auditing units of large organizations, in the offices of independent accountants, financial advisors, and certified public accountants, as well as in the accounting departments of various public and private sector entities such as banks, insurance companies, finance companies, tourism, construction, and industrial enterprises.
• Graduates can transfer to many undergraduate programs such as Accounting, Economics, Public Finance, Business Administration, International Finance, and similar fields through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).
